End of auction
Its over, I sure thought she would have went for more. Sure am gonna miss her. The guy that won is flying down to drive her home. He has a couple other 68's, so at least I know she's going to a good home.

Re: End of auction
Keep your chin up. I've seen mine (68) drive away for 1300. They come and they go and If you really need it they stay. I have been offered 600 for my rust bucket and if I sold it I would need help keeping my chin up. Invest Moneys properly.

Re: End of auction
Thats a great plan, but I just had brain surgery, Doc found a tumor on my brain stem. So, I'm off work for awile. Could be worse, I suppose. I'm a journeyman electrician, going from $70K a year to $0 has been rough with two kids.

Re: End of auction
That's a tough sale, but in reality, trucks are just "things". Most things are easily replaceable, people, and time with your family are not. You did the right thing.
Take care and God bless you and your family. David

Re: End of auction
Thanks to everyone for the kind words. It's good to have a support during down times.
If it wasn't for my wife a kids there's no telling what kind of shape I'd be in right now. And my wife did support the selling of the truck, in fact I had decided not to, but she helped me see the reality of it. I do know one thing, there will be another '68 sitting in the drive one day. Thank you guys!!

Re: End of auction
Well I guess I would have to pick my brain over a truck any day. I hope all is going well for you now. Sounds like you have good a good family behind you.

Re: End of auction
Where you are in life your family is way more important, I don't care who's truck it used to be, it is just a material object that we can't take with us. Life and loved ones are what is important, you did awsome, that kind of $$$ for a longbed is great. Enjoy your kids and family, they are WAY more important than a vehicle.
