1969 Shortbed C10 Layed Out Project
Whats up I am new to the boards...as a matter of fact this is my first post. Anyway I have built some classic cars w/ my dad ,and I have built a few bodydropped newer model trucks. So for my latest build I decided I would do something I have been wanting to do for a while and combine the two. This is my 1969 Shortbox C10. Here are a few of the plans:
-'67-'68 frontend (already have a good grille panel) -shave the gas filler, side markers, firewall, door locks, and tailgate handle -bagged and bodydropped(already completed frame except for paint) -frame features Z-ed front clip and custom four link w/ watts link , 2600lb bags, 3/8 GC valves and 2 viar 480 compressors -20x8 centerline archers up front and 22x9.5 in rear -Viper Red dupont paint w/ 67-68 chrome trim -chrome front bumper w/ round fog light and chrome rear bumper -350 w/ 700R4 tranny and all finned aluminium parts -oak wood bed floor w/hidden bolts -tan leather interior w/ billet parts Well thats the plan so far got a lot of work ahead for this coming year "planning" on having it done end of this show season so wish me luck. I do have a question about repairing rust around the top edge of the cab/rain gutter area Anybody got some ideas/suggestions maybe some pics of your own experiences? Thanks I will keep everyone updated on the project! |

Looks like a nice truck. Good luck with the build. What motor did you get for it?

Re: 1969 Shortbed C10 Layed Out Project
I got a built 350 .030 over with forged rotating assembly. This motor was built using all top notch parts like all arp fasteners, roller rockers, crane cam, edelbrock aluminium heads, and topped off with a holley stealth ram injection kit. It is a motor me and my dad built for my cousin but he lost interest so I bought it from him. I am going to paint the block red to match the color I am painting the truck then I will post some pics.
