Trick number 2713

To get the old pilot shaft bushing out:
Pack the cavity where it is with heavy grease and then get something the same diameter as the pilot shaft and hit it with a hammer. The grease will work like a hydraulic jack and push the bushing out. You might have to repack the cavity once or twice, but this has always worked for me.
