72 stepside
Possibly looking to buy with or without motor WIW .Listed for $4500 with 2003 6.0 w/30k, harness and accessories. Cab corners have been replace and needs rockers. Truck is original paint and has 350 with 3 speed(floor) and supposedly runs great. Base model at best non-ac, manual disc, painted bumpers etc. .

Re: 72 stepside
2000 - 2250 for just the truck ?? rust doesn't look bad.
late model motor is probably worth 2 bills, but would be a better buy if it came with the tranny

Re: 72 stepside
It sounds about right for the package. But,I agree with Streetstar.I`d either buy it seperate or want the complete motor/harness/computer/trans combo as a matter of convevience. You`re onlt part way there with the modern drivetrain and you already have a truck that needs restored. That`s alot out ahead after a $4,500 down payment.I`d keep it simple and get the truck solid and right. Then, upgrade the drivetrain.Unless you want to tear right in and go from ground-up.Alot depends on what you want in the end.

Re: 72 stepside
I was thinking of it as a replacement for the longbed, but after futher consideration the LWB is way too clean. Then there is the 72 I still need to drop the motor into. I think I will sport the patina for a few years on the 72. Thanks for your input.
