16 X 8 Torque Thrusts on my 72 C10 Tire Size question

just picked up a set of TT2 for my truck. they came off of a station wagon. i was just wondering about tires for it the ones that are on there look too small for it. i was thinking about 255/55's but not 100% sure any opinions are welcomed. i am also going to be lowering the truck in the spring but I'm not sure how low yet i just want something to fill the wheel wells out. thanks!!!

Lowering hardware should be less expensive than a new set of tires...or about the same. Lower first...tires next. I am assuming the current tires are not worn out. They will look fine after the drop.

BTW...welcome to the board from sunny south Seattle...and great score on the wheels!

Re: 16 X 8 Torque Thrusts on my 72 C10 Tire Size question

well lowering hardware is going to be about $850 because i have leafs. i am just trying to get an idea of tire sizes that are being used the most on this size rim. my IROC camaro had 245/50's but i am not sure since this is a truck if taller sidewalls would look better or not.

$850? I have $150-$200 in my 3-6 drop. How far down you going? I think those tires would be fine once its dropped...

leaf springs from ECE are like $350 alone plus spindles another $250. this post is NOT about the price of lowering components it is about tire sizes. does anyone actually have any suggestions on the topic??
