Dark Blue Truck Question

My truck is a 1972 Chevy that originally had a white top and middle stripe and the color was dark blue. Does anyone have pictures of this color?

This is the medium blue, the paint code is like 510 or 518, something like that. I can get it later if that's the color you mean.

I can't take credit for the truck in the pic, it isn't mine. I have the pic saved from the Brothers Show & Shine. I just hope mine looks that nice someday.

I'm not sure if that is the color. Right now it's not at it's factory color. But the glovebox option sticker says white/dk blue/white (dark blue). So would that be the color?

Re: Dark Blue Truck Question

ive been through this debate on the green colors before... i think sometimes our computer monitors show the pictures diffrent than they are in real life, or on other monitors.

i'll look at a picture at home, and it looks great, nice and bright. then i'll be at work and the pos 1990- somthing monitor we have make stuff look like crap

sooo, what im getting at is special K may not be seeing it clearly, as he is VERY knowledgeable about these old trucks probly one of the best on this board, or anywhere for that matter. he isnt just rambling like some people do on the internet

Being that that is my exact paint code and everything, would it be number 510 or 523 on this site? http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...truck-pg01.jpg

Re: Dark Blue Truck Question

523...that code is for solid paint. The numbers vary with a two-tone scheme.

1970cstblazer,have we seen a picture of your dark blue truck? That would help solve the confusion. That picture of your glovebox door is the dark blue, alright. And,not the same color as the trucks shown in the pics.I don`t have my pics anymore or I`d show one.We haven`t seen a dark blue truck in this thread yet, other than your bit of glovebox door.

Yes..

Both pictures are from the same truck, taken by the same camera.

That is Dark blue. It is also known as Mariner Blue. The blue that is slightly lighter is called Hawaiian Blue.
