How wide are 67-72 chevy trucks?
Like the title says, I'm at work and need to reserve a trailer during lunch today. I found that a few people have said 79", is this the absolute widest point of the bed and is the number correct?
I think I'm buying a complete fleet bed and want to make sure it fits inside the trailer I rent. I'll be picking it up tomorrow. Thanks all

Don't have the specs off hand, but why not flip it upside down on your Z-71?

Re: How wide are 67-72 chevy trucks?
I really don't like the idea of doing that My dad told me to do the same thing. If my truck was beat up, I'd do it, but I can just see the bed getting scratched all to hell, then I'd have to run straps along the bedsides, more scratches...... My Z71 needs to stay nice for another 5 or 6 years
I went and measured the trailers...only 77 inches wide... My 67 bumper was between 78-79", so I guess it's a hair too wide? ARRRGH! EDIT: HA HA! A feller at work has a trailer I can borrow! Wo hoo! It's only 6' wide, but I can put the bed on upside down with some 2x4's!

Re: How wide are 67-72 chevy trucks?
If the flat bed has rails can’t you put 4x4’s across, and lay the bed across them?
