More "What the #%*^%$ Do I Have Here?"
'83 Short Stepper has been leaking gas from the octupus looking valve thing under the right tank. I climbed under and pinched off the sharp little overflow tube, which has temporarily stopped the $$$$ flow, But I think that's a stupid fix. I can't find the part in LMC or other places on the web where I've looked. Doesn't help that I don't know what it's called. Looks like all the fuel lines in Coarsegold, California attach to the damned thing. And it looks like it's "juicing" a little from a seam....I guess it's the part that is told by the dash switch which tank to use. I don't really care what tank the truck uses as long as I can use all the gas and I know how much is left in the tank(s), so I'd love to hear if anyone else has had the problem. If anyone knows what the part's called, or, better yet, where I can get one, I'd be thankful.

Sounds like the fuel tank valve to me. You can still get a new one and you'll need one. At 3.50 or more a gallon for the gas that's flowing out on the ground, it's worth fixing pretty quick...

That is your fuel tank selector valve that's pissing liquid gold onto the ground for ya.
POLLAK is the company that manufactures them and they are sold at various places under various part numbers/prices. NAPA's line code/part number for it is CRB/2-2198
