WTB:Passenger side Oche original paint 1972 door. It`s got to be cheap, though. It`s for a friend named Longhorn Man.
Musta been the weather.I got out and did things I`ve been lookin`at for months.Looks great. Those changes are where it counts from the driver`s seat.

If it has a long shifter like the stock truck (both tilt and non tilt) then it is an early one... I think up through 74 or 75, the short shifter is from at least 76 to 81. (I've had 2 '76 van units with the short shifter) Quote:
And I agree with you one million %... mods from the drivers seat are the most apreciated. Quote:
I hope to do this truck right. I've done some hokey things on all my others... but I hope this one all comes together like it has been so far. |

Re: While no one was looking...
Are you saying you`re painting the `Burb red? I`ll try not to let that door keep me up tonight.I expect an update 4 or 5 months from now when you get around to doing something else.

Way cool! I have the same wheel in my '69 C/10 and they seem to blend great with the interior.

Re: While no one was looking...
I like the tilt, but prefer the school bus steering wheel. Gauges look great.

Re: While no one was looking...
Nice mod Andy - I've got a van tilt sitting in my shop just awaiting some work to go into my K5. Maybe your post will motivate me to get on that project!

Re: While no one was looking...
Andy, the "goverment job" quote is what I call a mod done at work. It's just an expresion I picked up from a friend who rebuilt a Dodge Dart during work hours in the company shop.

Re: While no one was looking...
looks great Andy, I've been contemplating what tilt set up to use for my Burb. Can you get a column with tilt and adapt it to our truck?
nice seat covers, I had the exact same in my 68 Fargo when I was 16. pockets were great for holding 8-tracks I see that the rear view is back up, mine is off. I give it 9 months eh! at least one of us is getting started. The only time I have is for going and picking up the parts. right CG Al

Re: While no one was looking...
naaaa Al... the mirror isn't back up, that photo was one of the inspection photos that Mark sent me. I stuck that sucker on once or twice and said screw it. Heck, I don't even know where it is right now.
I HATE that seat cover. |
