Any use a 81 suburban bumper??
Well my dad was poking around and drug this good looking 79 or 80ish suburban rear bumper over to the house. The frame rails and mouting hard ware that are on it are the same width as my 69 frame. But it looks that it will rub on the fenders. Curious if anyone has used one before.
I can make some brakets to keep it from hitting the fenders, but it might stick out too far in the back. Off the wall one this moring. ttt |

Re: Any use a 81 suburban bumper??
Well heres one of the new bumper fabbed up, and one of my mounting situation. Maybe someone can ID the year of that bumper. It'll just take a couple of hours to figure out exactly what i need to do, but next week is my 4th aniversiry. Can't work on the old 69 next weekend for sure.

From what it looks, my smashed in tailgate just makes it look worse then it is. I bet'll work. This is the first attention i've paided to the back of the truck. Damn theres a lot to do. Always is.

Re: Any use a 81 suburban bumper??
Several years ago, in another town I lived in, there was a guy with a porsche red '68. He had that bumper on the rear. I didn't really know him, or what it took to install. It did look good though. I have one for mine, its just not on yet.
