vent window pivot

does anyone have a suggestion for the pivot rivet. i don't know how many times i've hit that thing, i just won't flatten well. is there a different tool i could use? could i take it to a shop to get it done(los angeles)? i just want to be done with this so i can have my windows back. then i have to do the other side. ugh.

I start them off with a 45 degree punch and carefully tap them down to start a flare. I then use the little pos tool to round them over. I have never had much luck just starting ou with it. Some times they will still crack on you but will be rounded over.
