350SB vs 402BB
Wow it has 5 motnhs since I bought my 70 shortbox. I also moved into my first home. After 18+ years in the military I feel safe enough to say California will be home for a minute. I started this project building a 350. I have all the parts to complete the 350 build but an addition( Construction of 3 rooms) to the house is slowing me down. I also bought a 402 on eBay for $105.00 which my buddy picked up over in Phoenix and took it to the machine shop. Long story short, the 402 checks out good and he is a excellent builder has begin to assemble the motor. I have a turbo 400 I plan to send out for complete rebuild. I want to go with the 402 but I need to sell the 350 to get some money back. Anybody been down this road before? What do I do?

keep em both and get another hot rod to put the 350 in..there PROBLEM SOLVED!!

Ask your buddy if he wants the 350 lying around at his machine shop in case someone needs a different block, i'm sure he will give you a good price.

Keep the 402......... There no replacement for displacement,
 . I've got a 1970 factory 402 suburban and it just looks cccooooollll!!!. If you decide to go with the BB, let me know, I've got extra factory altenator and power steering setup that will bolt on. Good luck with whatever you do.
