Stepside guys. Permanent mounting studs for fender.

I have read that a few of you stepside guys have welded the studs on the fender so its easier mounting the fender. Im talking about the rear fender bolts.

how do you go about doing this??? Any pics?

So you just welded the outside of the bolt to the bed.. I was trying to do it where there was just a stud, no head of the bolt showing in the bed...

i see, your trying to smooth out the bedsides!! my bolts/nuts was rusted and i had a hard time getting the nuts off and holding the phillips head on the bolt from spining.i put a small tack weld on them to hold them in place.

I will start a build thread soon... I dont work on it much, not much freetime and i am addicted to TV. ahaa.

Thats a test fit of the rims.. thats ride height. Goes about 4 inche lower when i let the air out of te rear. 22 rears, 20 fronts..

Smoothing the inside is cool, i just dont want to have to deal with the installation. Its such a PITA with one person. I read on here that one guy did it, cant seem to find his post... I just want to make sure that i do it right.
