Re: Pics of dash pad/ dash pad covers

This is what it looked like up until yesterday. I have new handles and the door panels.

I'm in the middle of redoing the interior. I put red carpet in with the grey floor mats. I hope to be done by tonight. I need to cover the Sub box and reinstall the seats. Pictures will be coming soon.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

If you are talking about where the original dash pad is just get a new one from one of the vendors and bolt it in. If you are talking about the area where the speaker grille and defroster vents are, I don't know. I guess paint it or glue some vinyl on it...

the dash pad doesn't wrap around that far. the speaker and defrost vents are left uncovered. the factory actually painted the defroster vent and speaker area on 69-72's a flat cooresponding color........

i used flat black paint, new dash pad and aftermarket vents (plastic chrome(?))If you like "shiney stuff",most auto part stores sell "universal" 6x9 flat vented chrome speaker covers you could cover the speaker grill with. apprx($10).

Re: Pics of dash pad/ dash pad covers

I hand stitched a dash cover out of some velvet kinda stuff. I think it looks alot better. I couldnt get all the nuts back on the dash pad, but it sits pretty well. took the dash pad out, then stiched the fabric it inside out over the dash pad then flipped it inside out and poked holes in it for the bolts.
