Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
I think that's just the speedo... the rest of it is missing.
That does in fact look ike a speed warning piece... but again, not in '70, and there is no knob or knob hole. |

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
It LOOKS like one, but the knob is supposed to be next to the light switch

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
It's a 1970 bucket truck truck. The local mill owned it. Don't know if its been changed out.

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
It looks like the correct speedo head, but i think that is it. Even the back tin doesn't look correct. Too bad it isn't all there. Still a neat find however. Eric

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
what should the back look like? If 69 was the last year they were used, maybe the used up the leftovers on large trucks. Maybe we just have uncovered new facts.

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
It may have been pre-set like that to keep workers from speeding, drive it over that and see what happens!

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
It should have a stud sticking out of the back where the hole is in the printed circiut for the wire to hook to the buzzer. I think the speedo has been replaced

It should say the truck came with it in the glove box.

Re: Is this A speed warning dash??
I'd say that its just a replaced speedo that the mill put in "just because they had one" or something.
