Need pics of Magnaflow stainless exhaust installed.
I'm currently in the midst of installing the S/S Magnaflow 2.5" exhaust kit on my 72 GMC longbed. I have already done the search and haven't found much info. Does anyone have pics of it installed that they could share real quick? I wish they would mark the pipes like Flowmaster does.

Re: Need pics of Magnaflow stainless exhaust installed.
The most critical parts are:
Don't trim the back of the X (only the front if absolutely necessary). Make sure that the bends that go up behind the crossmember are as far front as possible. This gives best trailing arm clearance, and puts things at the right angle for the midpipes to stay closer to the driveshaft and allows you to make them run paralell to the driveshaft which is also critical. Getting things in line right from this point is the only way it will work, or you'll fight with the shock mounts, and you'll have problems with the mid-pipes trying to angle out in the back where the mufflers bolt on. It's impossible to make it work any other way but getting the mids paralell and as close to the driveshaft as possible, or then you'll find that the tailpipes will interfere with everything. Get those bends up behind the crossmember right, and that will let you set the mid pipes where they MUST be. Did I mention this part was very important I'm still not done messing with mine, but I moved on to something else for now. I'm considering going to some 3 or 3.5" tailpipes because these actually look kinda small |

Heres mine but it has a 4 inch spring lift on it so may be of no help. I welded a lot of the pipes and had to fab pieces to connect to the headers.

Re: Need pics of Magnaflow stainless exhaust installed.
Thanks guys!! It is a leaf spring rear and I finally figured it out and got it installed. The pipes between the X and the mufflers was confusing me.

Got any pics or opinions on this system? I'm really thinking about going this route.

JimPa's post is of a coil rear. You can tell by the trailing arms and panhard bar.

Re: Need pics of Magnaflow stainless exhaust installed.
I don't know if this came with it. It's not much help.
http://www.stylintrucks.com/images/U...s/16643MGF.pdf StylinTrucks.com has them for $529.99. Thats less than what I paid for my last Flowmaster system that lasted two years! http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.as..._prod_ids=3106
