early 80's style front brake compatability?

I was wondering if any of you had any info on what I will need to convert my truck to 5 lug discs. I've got a truck I can pull everything off of for free at my buddy's grandfather's salvage.
Thanks guys!

If you dont have the engine in your truck take the whole front cradle. I usesd on from a 79 and it fit right in I just drilled a hole on each side and had to oblong another one on each side. It took no longer than 1 hour

It took us longer to get buddies 79 on the auto transport then it did to swap the two front ends in and out. Now I just have to figure out where I can buy a 5 lug rear end.

Undo the bolts from the frame i think there are 4 per side, then take the linkage off the pitman arm. When you do it this way you get upper and lower cont arms linkage spindles rotors hoses etc. If you dont have a swaybar take that as well.

yes the prop valve as well, you will also need a disc drum master cylinder as well.I am also going to modify the new style mototr mounts to fit as well. The new style towers are about 1.5" to tall so I need to modify them to use the newer stronger motor mounts.

alright, I just went out and looked at my truck. I only see 2 bolts per side just above the springs right next to the motormounts. Am I looking at the right bolts? If so where are the other two per side

There should be 3 bolts through the bottom side of the frame rail on ea side, & I think 2 per side through the side of the rails. Then the eng mount stand bolts, idler arm(2), sway bar (4), & 1 big nut on the pitmanarm........Im runnin on memory tho..... crazyL
