87 pickup woes!
i have a 1987 1/2 ton TBI 350 chevy pickup and i can't seem to keep taillight fuse not from blowing! i have cleaned the tailight sockets replaced the bulbs and cleaned the grounds. and replace the headlight switch with another one i had. still no luck!
what else is on that circuit?? any ideas help.... Thanks, David |

Check the wires from the housing all the way to the front. There may be a bare spot that is grounding out.

I had a truck in high school that did this until it finally got on my nerves to the point I had to do something . I found that the wires were pinched between the frame and the bed . Lifted the bed a little to release the wires , rerouted them , and the problem was taken care of . Once I started looking for the problem , it only took a short time to find the problem . Frank

The license plate light is on it, and maybe a trailor plug if your truck is equipped with one.
