Glovebox Trim Questions
Can anyone tell me how to remove the emblem and the chrome trim from a Super glove box door. The wood grain needs to be replaced, so I am not worried about damageing that, but I dont want to ruin the chrome trim or the emblem.

Re: Glovebox Trim Questions
The emblem has three little pop in clips on three studs. I would gently start prying it with something flat at all corners and in between, around and around. It should eventually come out leaving the clips behind in the door to remove afterwards.
The wood grain piece is really glued on there. I take like a really wide flat putty knife/spreader and start working my way around it. You might have to use like a rubber hammer to do some taping on the handle on the blade. Be careful not dent it though, from the back side. That is how I have done it several times. Someone probably has a better way to do.

Re: Glovebox Trim Questions
Just for clearification you won't be able to remove the woodgrain from the trim if it is a factory one. Not by pealing it off anyway.

Re: Glovebox Trim Questions
I was just going to put new wood grain overtop of the old.
I tried using a butter knife to remove the emblem, worked like a Charm, barrel clips and everything poped right off. So next I used the magic tool, aka butter knife, to slide in behind the chrome trim, slid it around the edge, little tough in spots but not bad. Presto, I have it all apart. Thanks for the help.

Re: Glovebox Trim Questions
Decal remover will take it off. Can buy it at parts store.
