Had two good things happen today

Board member IvelDesigns came down from Des Moines and picked up a core support, (good to see you again Levi) and I bought this truck.....

It is a '67 3/4 ton, six banger, 4speed. It is a really nice truck for living in Iowa all its life. Minimal rust and 54,000 miles. I has a cracked windshield and the instrument panel is out of it at this time because of a minor electrical short.

Re: Had two good things happen today

Nice Score, those tires look like they are off of a tractor! What are the plans for it? does it run? Need more deets. Looks like it was a lighter blue originally, like my truck.

Yes it runs but the carb is off of it for a rebuild that never got done. Wheels & tires have to go... I think this is the plan for it.

Sweet. Looks pretty solid. What are your plans for the turbines? I'm running them, but one of mine is an oddball. Keep me in mind if you want to get rid of them.

Re: Had two good things happen today

glad to hear you got the truck Leon. and also glad you found a use for that 454

does this mean you'll have a steel bed floor for me?

btw, i stopped and talked to ron on my way back to DM. I'll be dropping my truck off with him tomorrow for cab corners and some other rust repairs. Seems like a really cool guy and he had some very nice rides in his shop.

Getting that lined up and getting the core support from you also got me motivated to get back to work on my front clip. thanks again for that patch you did. couldn't of done it better myself.

Levi,

I think I will rob all of the 1/2 ton stuff off of the maroon truck along with the motor. Believe it or not, as good as that bed looks on the outside the floor in it is pretty bad.

Ron is a nice guy. The other guy (with the pickup) that was there is the painter. What time are you going to be at Ron's? Maybe I'll run up there.

No problem on the core support patch, glad you are happy with it.

Re: Had two good things happen today

Oh, so the bed floor matches the cab roof?

it's hard for me to put an exact time. I think i'll be able to make it out there by 2:30 or 3.
