Re: My Trucks When I Bought Them

I like the clean look of that white GMC. I have a 63 Riv that spent most of its life in the Carolinas.

That`s cool about your Riviera.Believe it or not, mine was from Pennsylvania.I paid $1,800 for it.It was owned by an elderly woman that garage kept it and it only had 53,000 miles on it.I don`t think she taught Sunday school, though.I was wanting a 1st generation Monte Carlo for my girlfriend to go along with my trucks since she had two kids.It was her engagement ring.I saw this and stopped to look. Her son was selling it because she was going into a nursing home.I realized this was where the Monte Carlos and Grand Prixs of the late`60s came from. These Rivieras were the "Thunderbird Killers" and they did just that! They are a hallmark design in American car history being the first of the "Pepsi Bottle" body design that is found on about all the late`60s-early`70s muscle cars. They have alot of the same "Q"s found on the 63-67 Sting Rays, which I always thought ws cool.
Mine went to Texas, kinda like yours going from Carolina to New Mexico. It`s usually the other way around, right?

Re: My Trucks When I Bought Them

You are right, I went the wrong way across the country. It does have some rust, but I get alot more comments about the Riv than when I drive the wife's truck.
