Plained off firewall
Hey Guys I have a question.
When you plain the Firewall complete...... Where does the Wiring get routed to? Like the Engine harness and light harness. Where do you all put em? Also is there any pics? Last edited by Angelse68cal; 02-22-2008 at 03:30 AM. |

Re: Plained off firewall
You can run it across the lower side of the firewall and behind the engine where it is not noticed as much.

Angels, it can also be run to the side and above the fenderwell to hide the lighting loom. One of the major parts of doing this is rewiring and rerouting the hoses for the heat/Ac.Also the term for this is "Shaving" the firewall.I guess it would be worthwhile to build a terminology thread for FAQ's since some of the younger crowd don't know the terms and seem to be reinventing them. For instance a

Re: Plained off firewall
Like this?
Mine comes out behind the rear of the inner fender for the headlight and front end stuff. The engine wiring comes out just behind the engine. Also, my speedo cable comes in from the bottom.
