1968 Longhorn, dually mutt project gets her wood.
Its not done yet but the wood went in yeterday. I was missing a few bolts in the kit so I will have to finish it next week. Turned out nice I think. I still have to bolt the bed to the frame, bolt in the tubs and around the bed edges. One more week should do it.
3 coats of black stain and 4 coats of polly. one thing for sure......Its a LONG bed!!!!

Looks Great!! I really like the black stain, a nice contrast with the paint.

Thats a nice pickup. bed wood looks great too. Do you have a build thread? I'd like more info about how you did the dually conversion.

There are a couple of threads.......but it was a 68 flat bed dually that came factory with the narrow rear and same wheel base as a Longhorn, so I just put the bed on it and went on my way!

thats a great truck. its cool that your making it look like it came from the factory that way. a bit off topic...how did you install those wheels? and what are they?

The Longhorn dually looks killer David! I can't wait to see it in person.

As mentioned above......stock 90 something wheels with simulators. The rear lugs were the correct stud size for the wheels. The fronts were smaller studs. Most guys drill out the holes and put the bigger studs in. I wanted to see what direction I was going to go, so I just used beveled head nuts to make up the difference and they are working fine for now. I also have 2" wheel spacers on the front.
