assembly difficulties..need help

I know i havent contributed much in some time but i will have some great progress and pics to follow. But for now im having clearance issuses with my right front tire hitting my blower motor, and im looking for alternatives to the whole assembly. The other problem is getting my 4core radiator to fit in a 67
core support, the truck is a 69 but now ive decided to change the front end.
I dont know if i can just buy the lower brackets and weld in place of the smaller ones or what? (since i dont have the old core support to look at do any of you guys know off hand?) Thanks

Re: assembly difficulties..need help

I can't comment on the tire /blower issue but I"m in the process of installing a four core in my 67 swb and I discovered that the lower brackets are wider than the uppers and the radiator fits ok. They are held in place by a bolt that mounts through the bottom of the support and a small tab on the bracket that locates in the support. the uppers are smaller and I will have to get some 4-core brackets and inserts.

The only thing I can think of to give you some more clearance is cruising without heat/ac or going to an aftermarket system. The Vintage Air surefit system does a good job of smoothing things out on the firewall.

Now,

Show us some pics of this ride that's so low you're hitting the blower motor!

I had to bend the metal downward on the core support to let the bottom bushing bracket fit in. The 3/4 ton truck I had kooked like it had this done at the factory??I may be wrong though.
