Who's aftermarket A/C System would you suggest

I have a non A/C cab and want to add A/C. After looking around on the net there seems to be three different manufactures. Classic Auto Air, Old Air and Vintage Air. Which one is best and why? Is there another system I should consider? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rodney

I think there is a Hot Rod Air, but i'm not 100% on that. I've heard nothing but praise about Vintage Air

I have vintage in my 4x4 and wish like anything that it was factory air. It is noisy and the compressor brackets needed modification, hose connections are inside the cover which puts them inside the cab so more chances for a leak on the carpet, passenger side cab vent rod won't clear a/c box and recirculate only means that the windows fog over in the winter. I haven't found a setting on the thermostat that will keep the windows fog free and let the heater blow hot air. Check out past threads on this, some of the other guys on here are good on converting factory systems to an orifice tube set-ups. I'm putting factory air in my 72 non-air truck, cutting holes for the vents isn't as bad as it seems.

Classic Auto Air! If you research the products offered you will discover CAA is the "only" one to offer a duel core unit one for heat and one for cold, much more efficient and its how GM did it!

Forgot to add that CAA uses Spal fan units and they are quieter but all under dash units will be noiser than firewall mounted units.

My truck came with Vintage Air that was installed this past summer. It works good... the only problem I have is the lowest speed fan setting is too high. It froze me out last time it was hot. I was able to adjust the heat this past winter fine.
Any recommendations on slowing the fan down would be appreciated.

Ive got a Vintage Air sure fit system in mine. I love it, I just put it in last year, my only regret is waiting so long

I've got Vintage Air surefit systems in both of my trucks. Yes they are difficult to get them not to fog the windows in the winter but the A/C will run you out.

Before you buy any of those check out our local guy. Lucky's has a kit with defrost, heat and air for only $675! Here's some info. His site doesn't have the pic yet for the unit I am getting, but it's a very nice system that uses your dash outlets or you can plumb them anyway you want.
