Didnt Know All Was CO Auto Fair

Well I went to the Auto Fair Friday , 1 thing I didn't know it was a CASH ONLY sale . Didn't taken check book don't use it much anymore .That was 1 thing you guys forgot to tell me . I just guessed that the BIG vendors would take the plastic money , wrong . I knew the others would be a cash only , just like a Flea Market . Oh what the I spent out . I will just have to go back in the fall to get some of the BIG ticket items if I don't find em here . I knows next time to take some drinks and snacks . NO $4.00 burger for me . Didn't even want to see prices . Oh well other than that I guess it was all good . But whats the DEAL with the late model cars FS . I didn't go to see 2000 up I could have went to a car dealer .I bet got a better price too .
Thats it all its just my PO
Hope all that went had a good day .

Re: Didnt Know All Was CO Auto Fair

I`ve never seen that.I`ve always seen alot of vendors take cards. It definately is a cash on the barrelhead atmosphere.I`ve had guys take checks before.Don`t they have a cash advance service at the office? They do at Carlisle.I`ve never noticed that at Charlotte.

Re: Didnt Know All Was CO Auto Fair

I spent about $1,500 there two years ago, used nothing but plastic money....

You get better deals with cash, because, well, the vendors don't have to charge tax then wink wink nudge nudge

A friend was selling at the Lincoln, Ne. swap meet earlier this year. No vendor, just a guy with a load of stuff. He's set up to take CC for his RV park, so he took his card stuff with him to the swap meet. He sold EVERYTHING.

Re: Didnt Know All Was CO Auto Fair

I always take cash to any kind of swap meet, be it guns, trucks, trains. I usually put a few pictures of my favorite president in my pocket to go to a swap meet.

Usually if you show the green you can get a better price. The seller doesn't have to wait for the payment to get deposited in his account, he can use it for buying something himself.

Re: Didnt Know All Was CO Auto Fair

It is a cash and 'CARRY" atmosphere. Most of the bigger vendors and some smaller will take plastic, but cash will get you deals from the smaller guys and used parts are nearly always cash. There is an ATM at the track(by the midaway) but this is the first year I've noticed it.
I have always wondered why no one has come up with the idea to bring a Scout troop and camp for the 3-4 days and carry out parts for donations.Seems like it would get them 3 days camping and be a fund raiser also.

Man, I hope that's BS!!! Carlisle is way too big to be only going with a small load (or maybe they didn't sell much because of the rain??? Maybe he meant this trailer will be going and another from cali will join it? I was hoping to pick up a fleet gate from them for around $250.

I'll be at carlisle sat and sunday with my pops
