These were all still motor passes today with no bottle. Best 3 passes of the day: 1.678- 4.856- 7.580- 89.735- 9.949- 11.968- 113.219 1.735- 4.952- 7.688- 89.650- 10.046- 12.056- 113.235 1.693- x.xxx- 7.691- 87.851- 10.094- 12.146- 109.703 I think I will try taking my 100lb tailgate off tomorrow, make another motor pass, then spray on it. |

Re: Track results....
Hey Super 73,
Nice Truck! Man, that thing launches great and sounds just plain evil! I was wondering, are you going to be at Sac on the 26th of this month, some friends and I are going to be bringing our junk to the track for a day of racing. Here's the the info: Sat...26 Test and Tune Drag Racing All vehicles must pass a regular tech inspection. Vehicles quicker than 10 seconds will run single passes. Times: Pit Gates Open: 10:00am. Testing 12:00pm-4:00pm Admission: General Admission: $10 Racers: $50 (car and driver) Sat...26 Grudge Fest Drag Racing Race your friends or just the clocks Times: Pit Gates Open: 4:00pm, Racing 6:00pm-10:00pm Admission: General Admission: $5 Racers: $35 (car and driver) One friend will be trailering his 1954 GMC 3/4 ton (formerly a long bed), Hillborn injected Caddy 500 powered backed by a tremec 5 speed drag truck, I'll be bringing my 1966 C10 panel to race ( It's nowhere as fast as yours! ) and have some fun, as well as a few other trucks/cars. We will probably be there all day from noon to ten, if you can make it I'd love to see your truck in person/make a pass or two. Pete

Re: Track results....
Motor has forged rods/pistons, stock crank, ported stock heads 243/250 @ .050 .610/.612 108/110 cam, underdrive crank pulley, stock LS6 intake with ported filled throttle body and F-body long tubes.
I'm not sure when I'll get to Sacto again.. I promised my wife I would put the truck away for a little while and get some crap done around the house since it is staying lighter longer now. |

Re: Track results....
Best pass http://73-ls1.com/63truck/track4-4/100shot.wmv
I lost a fuse on the second stage so that pass was only the 100 shot at the 60' mark. The second stage is a 200. I was going to use them both same time. I think it would have gone at least 10.999999. |

Re: Track results....
Here are all the passes we got on video..
Best pass on motor was 11.9x @ 113 Best (only decent N20 pass, lots of issues) was 11.28 @ 115mph spraying a 100 shot from the 60' mark. Tried grabing all 300 after the 1-2 shift but the fused poped in the direct port. http://73-ls1.com/63truck/track4-4/s...08_low_res.wmv Last edited by Super73; 04-08-2008 at 09:18 AM. |

Re: Track results....
Because mine is still on and I was thinking of taking it off....just to see how much it helps to transfer some of the weight...

Re: Track results....
Mine never had on and there are no holes for the mounts either. I'm wondering if this is a later addition. I do have a front sway bar at the shop though off a 8luch dually that I was thinking about putting on. Just to see if it did any good/bad.

Re: Track results....
Here is a detailed spread sheet showing all the times from this weekend. N20 passes are in Blue, only one was at full pressure. Red backrounded items are things that I feel were out of the norm and could be improved. IE the 11.2x N20 pass, I shortshifted 2-3 and only gained 19.x mph where even on the motor I'm gaining an average of 21.x on the back half.
http://73-ls1.com/63truck/track4-4/ET_Sheet_4_2008.xls Fuel Milage?? Now that's funny.. When this heads cam package was in my buddy's 2000 Camaro, he would knock down 20-22mpg on the way to the track. I get 10mpg.. I think I have some more tuning to do at cruise and can get more out of it, but I am going through wideband very quickly. It's rather sad. |

Re: Track results....
I`ll bet the camaros aerodynamics is quite a bit better than the truck so that will play a part too. On something like you have mileage doesn`t really matter, at least to me, I was just curious what you got.
