thanks guys! after a day to think it over it does seem like 327hp out of 283 is a bit much (if possible) especially for a truck that i would like to drive as much as possible but not a "daily driver" it would be more of a "sunny day" driver. i know 283 are a pretty dependable motor but it seems like a lot of stress to put on the motor and i dont think it would be as dependable!
i am going to look into the 290hp 350 or just go with the stock 283 and maybe just upgrade the cam, nothing too aggressive..... thanks again to everyone for their input! im no engine expert and hearing all your points has helped me avoid jumping into something that was going to come back and bite me in the ass! thats why i love this board! props to all of you
