Almost perfect match paint for gauge needles & pic

I found an almost perfect match for the needles on our trucks. It's a Testors model paint, Flourescent Red #FS 28915. It is very close to original. I painted my needles and where the sun hadn't faded them it was almost undetectable. I used the Enamel paint, I am very pleased with it. Just thought I would post this for anyone who wants to know.

I read that you could still get that at your local dealer. It's some kind of special orange. Have yet to find out though.

Does that come in a spray can too, or only a bottle?

I only saw it in a bottle, but I wasn't really looking for spray. I got it at my local hobby shop. It was the Teastors Model Master brand. I guess you could ask if they can get it in spray. I bet they could.

Wow! Looks like new! I tried painting mine white on one of my trucks, and it looked pretty good too, but you really can't beat the original look, in my opinion...

Doh!

I wish I would have know that a week ago. I found some Testors paint in a spray can and it looked like the right color orange (at least on the sticker that is supposed to be the color in the can). I used it to paint the needles on the '68, and they are too red now.

You can repaint them again you know. Just go get the right color. I did it on mine.
