Re: IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!! haha
Nice truck Dave. I agree with Scoti on all counts.
I have had great results with DJM. Resonable priced and quality products. Summit Racing is hard to beat on price.

Re: IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!! haha
Dave, That is a nice lookin' ride you found nice score what did you give for it?
You know you will never be happy with a 2/4 so you'd just be better off to do the 4/6 drop and be done with it and if ya want it lower than that get rid of the huge sidewall tires that are on it now they will probably rub anyways. I also second going with Belltech equipment after the chit i went thru with DJM on my '99 Hoe there stuff left me with a bad taste in my mouth and i don't think i'd ever buy anything from them again. |

Re: IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!! haha
Oh no, He's back ...
... Hide the kids. Nice-looking truck to get back with it. I agree on the 4-6 drop. You may not even need a c-notch if you have a minimum of ~6 1/4" between the bottom of the frame rail and the top of the spring back. With a flip kit, you then would have a minimum of ~3" between the frame rail and the axle. It made be enough prevent most 'bottom-outs'. Like 87Stepper said you may have issues with tire rub especially in the front. But, like Scotti suggested maybe with a narrower wheel in front will prevent the rubbing. But, why not another inch in front to push the wheel inside the fenderwell a bit ... But, 'bably a bit too much for a DD. You beat me to the P'chops. But, I made a couple of mods. Same color looking rims look and different, but the silver rims give a good contrast. I modded the trim rings and went with some wide hot rod style rings.

Re: IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!! haha
Yeah man...those are some of the mods I have planned. I am taking off the push bars, lowering it, I have decided on 4/6. Getting window tint tomorrow. WIll either shave the mirrors or get some sport mirrors, and doing the wheels body color. I am gonna have to change the tires, they are too narrow and tall. I need to throw some 275/50's on there.
THanks for the tips on where to get what....I was leaning towards DJM for the price, and that is what was on "Nugget" and it rode great for being dropped 5/7. Nice to hear from a lot of you!!

Re: IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!! haha
Yeah Eric come check it out. I was just out doing the dash light mod. Sprayed the reflective chrome paint , installed 5 led lights in the place of the 194's and put it all back together. Made the glove box not rattle, cleaned up the vents...just lil things for now.
Tried to get the windows tinted today, but they were too busy. Hey Eric....how much did your Lowering setup run you??

Re: IMMMM BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!! haha
Hey Dave! Saw your paint post and figured you'd have a pic post. New truck looks good! Glad your back to the truck scene. Makes me want to dig mine out of storage and get started on it.. It's funny you mentioned seeing your wheels on another car. I've been on the look out here on the east side ever since your truck got stolen. Anyway, lookin forward to seeing great things from ya.
