Re: GMC BB V6 sizes...?
they aren't big blocks, just, truck V6 engines.
305 and 351 were avalible till 69 IIRC the bigger ones, including 2 V6's placed inline with each other (V12) could be had in the bigger trucks. I lost the jolly site link... has ALL the info you could ever want. |

Re: GMC BB V6 sizes...?
The 305 and 351 were in fact the only ones offered in pickups up to 1969. They could be dealer installed up into the early 70's. The 379, 401, 432, 478, 637 cu in V8 version and the 702 cu in twin six was offered in bigger trucks. The 351E in 67 - 69 models was the highest output pickup version. The 351E is essentially a 351 Magnum from a bigger truck with smaller exhaust manifolds, pickup truck sized water pump housing and oil filter. It did have the big port, big valve Magnum heads, bigger intake, and bigger carb. Here's some side by side of a std 305 head vs the 351E/M head.
Magnum head is the bottom Magnum head on the right Magnum intake on the right Magnum intake on the right

Re: GMC BB V6 sizes...?
The 305 V-6 was standard in 'CM' models '67-'69. The 351E was optional in 'CM' models '67-'68. No 351E's were offered in '69 pickups. The 305 was dropped in March of '69. There were some dealer installed V-6's in pickups as late as '72.

Re: GMC BB V6 sizes...?
Yep, in trucks with the first two digits of the VIN being CM or KM, all came with the 305 standard. It was fun when the kid at the parts store (chain type stores) would ask "What was originally in it?" and I'd say a 305 v-6... there reaction was always awesome.
