4x4 Sway bar ?

Hey yall, I found a nice front swaybar laying on the ground in a junkyard. It is off of what looks to be a '72 C20 Custom Camper. I think it was to wheel drive. Though. What I need to know is some off the bars I've seen were different so I wanted to know were there specific 4wd and 2wd bars. Also will a 2wd bar fit a 4wd interchangebly. Thanks. Jason

Look at these two threads. kbracing is using a 2wd bar modified for his app.
Bobbyk is using a 4wd bar.
2wd and 4wd are not interchangable as 67-72 4wd did not have sway bars. They came in 73 and up.
You can see that a 2wd has ends just like the rest of the bar. The 4wd bar has an eye socket on each end for mounting to the axle pad. The 2wd bar is similiar if not identical each way. The 4wd bar has one straight end and one end with an offset. This is to clear the pass. side leaf spring that you would not have on a 2wd truck. The 4wd bar mounts inside the drivers side leaf and outside the pass. side.
I am going to try to use the 73 up bar and axle pads with my own brace. This is the other problem. There appears to be just enough diference in 72 to 73 up frames that the pieces are not a direct bolt in.
