Fiberglass top
I'm about to start on my project, I'll post a build thread if anyone is interested, but I have a question about the top. I'm working on a 75, and the top has a few cracks here and there, nothing all the way through ( i think). What should i use to patch these cracks? And while I'm at it, at the back there are the "seams" (?), can these be smoothed and filled, or would that weaken the top? Any help would be appreciated!!

Re: Fiberglass top
I have the same problem, I plan on using fiberglass resin to fix them! I cant imagine filling those seems would cause that big of a structual problem, as long as when you take the top off you dont twist it and make it worse try to lift it straight off using some type of overhead winch set up! Like the jeep wranglers have for their hardtops! I think that guy with the shiney black blazer that was in the mag has a picture of his winch system he built to lift his top off!, tvblazer is his screen name look on his build thread you will see what im talking about! good luck!
