lokar stuff and ls guys...need advice

I am looking at a few options for linkage to a 4l80e. I know some/most guys that have swapped out there trannies have the problem of dropping down the gear to 1 because of linkage on a 4l60...correct me if I am wrong...
My truck is a th350 3spd. Now I have a 4 speed indicator cluster, give me some ideas on the best way for this. Would the lokar shift linkage setup work for me to go in all gears?

I know I gotta get another tranny dipstick, gonna go with the lokar 36" for the 80...

I know they are pricey, but any other alternatives?
The engine oil dipstick:

I do know about this one.. I worked at Lokar for about two years and yes it will work, it will not be right on each number. But it will work fine.
