Need Pics of Vent Window

I am trying to re-install my vent windows and am not sure if the
weatherstriping rubbers go inside or outside the lip of the door??? Could someone post close up photos of the vent windows from the inside and outside of the door....

Thanks....much appreciated!!!!

Re: Need Pics of Vent Window

not to discurage you but I have seen it both ways more tucked in the door a few out on the door. BUT PLEASE someone take close pictures of the vent win dows because to help this out and also I think my vent window frames, the verticle post that separtes the window and the vent. there is a chrome cover that the vent window locks clicks on well I think this frame work on mine are backwards, outside of the frame is narrower then the inside is this correct?

Re: Need Pics of Vent Window

The rubbers go to the inside of the door, some leave them outside because they can be a pain to get in the door frame sometimes, as far as the questions about the chrome, the outside is more narrow than the inside. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link 72BlckButy.....So from the pics it looks as if the rubbers are tucked into the frame on the outside.....When I was putting mine back in the rubber laid on the outside....I'll try to push them in.....and slide the vent back.....maybe the screw holes along the post will line up better, BUT it's a reprop door....so I may end up elongating to make it work.....ALSO, does anyone think that a little silicone spray will help with the vent window installation?? If not, any suggestions??

Re: Need Pics of Vent Window

Hey 72BlckButy.....I really appreciate you taking those photos....they are exactly what I am looking for....The rubber on the outside/inside along the bottom are indeed tucked into the door lip.....That is what I need to see....

Thanks again!!!!

Now I'm off to try and squeeze those baby's in!!!....Wish me luck
