Not to mention if you sign up with them online boxes, stickers, etc ..........

Re: Brothers Trucks shipping costs more than the part!!

Please people understand that it's not the suppliers fault that shipping costs are high. They do not control shipping prices, no matter what. It's all in the shipping companies like ups, dhl, etc. there the ones that give shipping prices to the vendors, not them. So please, get a grip. It's all thanks to the ridicoulus high gas prices that makes shipping companies surcharge more for fuel.

Unless you ship a lot you have no idea how ridiculous it can be. We'll have a hood order and search three trucking companies for a rate....get an online rate quote, bill the customer, and THEN get a bill in the mail in a few days 25-27% higher than the online quote.

Re: Brothers Trucks shipping costs more than the part!!

I've never done business with Brothers, but if I were ordering parts I will not place the order without knowing the s&h.

If the vendor feels the need to add some extra for handling, or even as cya for rates going up, it is not that big of a deal as long as I know what the total cost will be. That does give me the opportunity to back out of the deal if I desire.

Re: Brothers Trucks shipping costs more than the part!!

Do you expect a vendor to charge only actual shipping rate and not make anything for the effort to get it shipped (handling)? and the cost of shipping material? I dont, that would be silly IMHO.
Common sense would say dont order just small items by themselves. When ever I have a decent order to make I will try and remember all the little parts I needed at that time.

When ever I have something shipped from Dynacorn they will guesstimate the shipping only. They won't give a hard quote. You find out what it is when you get the invoice. Its hard to quote rates beause they change daily,

USPS gets very expensive over 5 pound if larger than the flatrate box size.
