brake pedal ratio

I just read and article that said that some car manufacturers put different brake pedals in there vehicles depending on whether it was a power brake or manual brake vehicle, meaning that each one had a different pedal ratio (which affects braking) the article used the early must*ng as an example. does anyone know if this is the case for our trucks? just thinking about all those guys that have switched over to power for safty reasons, or would it be a mechanical advantage for the power guys to switch over to a manual pedal from what the article says.

here is the article:

Re: brake pedal ratio

IIRC, the only thing that's different essentially is the vacuum booster. Everything else is pretty standard right down to the holes on the brake pedal rod.

Re: brake pedal ratio

there's 2 holes on your prake pedal. one for manual, the other one for power. Same P/N pedal either way.
