Got mine with these tires for $275, they are usually pretty expensive though. Got to love craigslist

Re: got some new wheels for the work truck

I found some good deals on ebay 8 months ago or so when I was looking for my wheels. I think i found a set of four with caps for around $300-$350 with shipping included. I never did buy a set though, because a family friend had a 2001 2500hd he just put rims on and he gave the old wheels to me free. All I had to do was get the non metric lug nuts with the threads for the center caps. A link to those lug nuts is on page one under the pic of my truck.

I have seen them all over the bone yards lately. They can be had for that price if you just look hard enough. But then there are those peeps that think their stuff is worth GOLD.

Re: got some new wheels for the work truck

Updating the thread with a new link for the lugnuts. I scored a set of 2500HD steels with Mastercraft tires (40% tread) and 3 center caps for a hundred yesterday.

Re: got some new wheels for the work truck

I had a thought the other day...

If you're hunting the steelies like I had, and want them painted, a good way to get them is to find the spare wheel off of a newer truck. they're painted black, but they've most likely never been used, so while dirty they are essentially a NEW wheel. ought to be nice and round. Might can even get a good set of tires with them, which ought to be new as well.

I bought a spare for $20, and the yard took the new tire off for free.

Nope this thread is a couple of years old, I got rid of that truck for one a little newer. So much more comfortable to plow with (when we used to get snow in Co )
