Measurement needed
Need a measurement:
Middle of the radiator support to the tip of the front frame horn. Mine is cut and I am building a winch bumper. |

While I was out measuring cab mount washers for twotrucks I threw a tape on the front frame horns of the 70 and it looks like 8 3/4" from the center of the core support mount holes to the end of the frame horns... You don't say what truck & I see you have c/k 30's and a K5. This is on my 70 c/10. LockDoc

Re: Measurement needed
Hey LockDoc, mine must be different. From the tip of the frame horn to the center of core support mount measures 9 1/2"

Re: Measurement needed
This is for the C/K that doesn't really match anything... however, I have a welder, plasma and a bunch of metal. I can make it anything I want. I just want the bumper to clear the grill/winch.
thanks to both of you... reputation added. Last edited by FormerMember; 04-20-2008 at 06:21 PM. |

OK I'm glad you posted on this. I went back out and re-measured and it is 8 3/4" (changed first post). When you get to be my age it's a challenge to remember how to "get" from the shop to the house, let alone remember a measurement that far.... I also have a '70 GMC without a front bumper on it so I measured it and it measured right at 9". It almost takes two people and two small squares to get an accurate measurement on it. Maybe this will help him though. LockDoc
