Question Need pictures of Aux. Battery Option w/402 BB

Help please! I am looking for some pictures of under the hood of the battery boxes, radiator overflow bottle mounting for my '72 GMC Custom Camper w/ Aux. Battery option that was removed from the truck. The truck has the original 402 BB w/AC.
Thank you.............

Here you are! Notice battery tray and cable in the photo. I kept this photo to see the smog components but it also has auxillary battery.

I hope this helps!

That battery box doesn"t look like the factory ones that I've seen before.I've wondered about the p/s reservoir.anybody else have a picture of a big block truck with the auxillary battery

that's not a stock battery tray, I have one, but its a small block truck (at least, it was) and doesn't have the remote power steering deal.
There was no overflow bottle offered from the assembly line, only dealer installed, and aftermarket, so they can be mounted where ever you want.

For what it's worth, my '72 GMC doesn't have a factory overflow tank. It just vents to the ground.

Re: Need pictures of Aux. Battery Option w/402 BB

I have a dealer installed overflow bottle, bought it NOS and broke the tape myself it mounted on core support above the horn exactly where aux. battery trucks' trays went. You will have to relocate the overflow to another location, if you have smog pump and a/c I have no clue where you will put it. The only place that would be cose would be the passenger side fender. I did paint the cap black so it would match the washer bottle but I am positive that this is at least one version offered for our trucks from the dealer as a friend has the same one on his unrestored 72.

Re: Need pictures of Aux. Battery Option w/402 BB

there were some odd ball options specific to some of the fleets that didn't even require COPO to build, and those are some of them.
That would be an interesting SPID to see, do you have a pic of it by chance?
