Cut truck doors or try to find blazer ones?

So I found an almost perfect set of uncut Custom Camper doors. the only dent in either one is one tiny dent in the trim. So my question is do yall think I should cut these cherry doors or try to trade 'em for some blazer ones. I really want to cut these things just to see how far I can get. Well what do yall think?

Great blazer doors are harder to find than hens teeth or maybe a snipe. I wouldn't hesitate cutting truck doors. Measure twice, cut once ! Oh, and don't forget to grab those blazer only door plates from the old doors.

Good Luck

I believe it reinforces the latch assembly so it doesn't get pushed into the door as the body flexes?

Re: Cut truck doors or try to find blazer ones?

CJ5 Convert,

If you can get to Albuquerque I have a few sets of blazer doors that i would be willing to swap for some good truck doors!!!!!!! I'll try and take some pics of the blazer doors and i can post them here or e-mail them to you to see if you are interested. Save you some time and hassle if you think you can use them.

PS: Of course I voted for swapping, Ulterior motive, I need some doors!!!!!

Hey Pete, I'm interested as I have 2 Blazers I may not want to give up this set of doors. But I might want to see about one of your sets as well.
I'm getting the itch to cut something and since I don't know how to weld I'm kinda thinking about trying to learn that too. I'm thinking with a little practice I can figure out those spot welds. Plus I just happen to have an set of the door reinforcement panels and the caps.

Also I bet I know where you can find some doors in your neighborhood but if not I bet I can find you a set. Let me know.

EVERYONE ELSE, Thanks as always. -Jason

Re: Cut truck doors or try to find blazer ones?

Do you have pics of your doors? I'll post pics of the Blazer doors i have by this weekend here on this thread. Check out my thread of Blazer sitting on my trailer for pics of those doors. I'll TTT the thread.

I also have a few truck doors you can practice on if you want to try out your welding skills rather than guinea pig some good doors!

Jason, sent PM also.

Pete I'm pretty sure I'm gonna chop these one because, it will take me 6 hours of driving and gas to get em to you. Two because I need to learn. -Jason
