Re: WIW short wide 4x4 frame

If a 4x4 frame is strait and clean NO SCALE I'd say its demand for it may comand $500 easy. Just take your time and look it over well. Small repairs to them are easy, take some measurments and make sure its close if not square. Having one straitened at a body shop can cost a few$

Dana,
if it's a 71-72 frame then it would be a steal providing it's straight and not rotted. 69-70 in like condition would still be a good deal but if it's a 67-68 i'd say pass on it since the suspension is old school and no provision for an intergal power steering box.
i've sold a few 71-72 short 4x4 frames over the years and never sold one for under a grand--bare frame, no springs, no steering box, no nothing.

Re: WIW short wide 4x4 frame

I have a complete 72 swb 4x4 I'd sell ya for $2100, 350, 4 speed power brakes, rusty floor in the fleetbed, cab has rust in the rockers, good title.Doesn't run & you arrange shipping, or I have all the frame brackets & crossmembers for a 4x4 if you buy the bare frame

as far as a bare frame goes, whats the diffrence between a 69-70 swb frame and a 71-72 swb frame? i know the later had the disc brakes but what else make them more desireable?

Re: WIW short wide 4x4 frame

I think a true short K/10 frame in unscaled (some pitting ok) condition is worth $500 if you find one later on.

Re: WIW short wide 4x4 frame

I'm building a daily driver out of my 1971 swb 2wd one owner truck, into a 4x4 6" lift on 35" bfg t/a's.

Re: WIW short wide 4x4 frame

What will become of the 2wd frame? Will it be for sale?
