It's slowly coming together. Got the new carpet in, including underlayment in the rear and that dynamat-like roofing foil under that.

then upholstery. new foams, houndstooth, and the best money I've spent yet...Seat Heaters!!!

Then paint/plastic dye on the door panels, arm rests, and new seat backs.

a few stereo components and I decided to remove the woodgrain from the doors. It just didn't make sense. Also removed the armrests from the rear seat (though I purchased and painted new ones, just in case.)

I'm also having PT's70CST rebuild my center console but it's not quite finished yet.

I'm still waffling about purchasing new side panels or building my own, with some way to integrate the scroll pattern...

when the radio was rebuilt, the new electronics allowed for an aux input. Mr. Tayman (www.taymanelectrical.com) mounted RCA inputs on the rear of the radio chassis, and that's where the ipod plugs in. it works in regular radio mode until it senses a signal through aux, at which point it switches to the ipod. it switches back to radio after 10 secs of no signal through aux. pretty basic, i think... but that's why i think it works so well. basic. see below

I'm glad to see you kept the speakers out of the side panels. I hate to see holes cut into them. Looks good, I wish my am/fm was built like yours.

that's basically where the speakers will wind up. I'm building some sort of little box for them and the sub, all removable and vinyl-covered. hopefully it will look ok.

and I can't wait for that console... it looks nice!
