motor mounts driving me crazy

we can not get the mounts to line up first mounts i had to take back because the bolt holes where the wrong size new ones are right. i can get the driver side bolt in but not the passager side. i been messing with this for 2 days

I had to loosen the frame brackets until the bolts were in. Went right in after that.

These can be ornery & irritating. I always enlarge the hole when the engine is out. Johns idea is a good one.

I've had to do that too.
Have everything loose until you get all the bolts started and then tighten things up.

try lifting the engine off the frame brackets a tad. I've always done it this way and never had a problem.

got motor bolted in today ended up unbolting the whole tower and bolting it to the mount and lower it back and bolting it to the frame

you can also use studs in place of the bolts and it goes together much easier especially on the passenger side with the fuel pump in place.
