I saw this listing on CL and thought some of you guys around central OK might be interested(Here's you another project Joe231). If I had a good way to get it back, I'd be all over it b/c I'm going to be out there next month but bringing back 2 trucks plus parts would be a problem. Anyway, why don't someone buy it and give me the bed off of it?

a guy i know went to look at this, exactly what he wanted, turned out it is a rust bucket, he said the frame looked bad, rattle can over rust, and lots of junk parts, he was asking a grand, so he has come down in price.
here is what I was told

"This guy had a shortbed/fleetside w/ big back glass cab, and it was all torn apart. He had sand blasted the frame and painted it with a spray can. He also had a lot of parts, 2 front suspensions, 2 rear ends, a long bed, a short bed all a part real rough alot of bondo. I think he had a total of 5 doors, almost 2 of everything. Set of aluminum wheels with good tires , I didn't get to see them they were buried in the back of a camper and there were wasps. 2 tailgates, 2 front bumpers, 2 grills, 2 core supports, 2 grill shells, glass and exhaust, and a 307 short block.There was a lot of bondo and a lot of rust. He wanted 1000.00 for everything, he talked on the phone to me like it was all in real good shape."

my wife would literally kill me if I drug this home

maybe he will continue dropping the price

Well, doesn't sound like a great deal after all. Do you, by chance, know if he had the in-dash A/C setup for it? If he keeps coming down on it or still has it when I'm out that way I may call him and try to go look at and see if there is anything I could use that he would sell seperately.

We will be out that way the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and spend the following week in the area. I've got an Aunt in Warwick and some cousins in Chandler and Edmond. We are going to stay in Shawnee and we usually travel all over the area just looking around/killing time while we're there. My Mom and my Aunt are in their 70's so my wife and I take my parents out there every summer so the 2 sisters can spend time together.
Meeting up would be cool. It's always nice to put a face with a name. Are there any local cruise-ins or shows in the greater OKC area that you know of during that week?
