Re: my new toy
That's a waaay cool truck for the cash you laid out for it. By the way, I noticed it only has a gas tank on the passenger side. If that truck came with a single tank, shouldn't it have been on the driver side?

Re: my new toy
I don't know which tank would be the default one if the truck came with 1 or 2. my 81 shortbed gmc has dual tanks, but I only ever put gas in the driver side one. I was hoping you could answer that one. I'd like to do the same thing to mine too as far as a good honest slam job. I don't have the coin for bags, but I have heard of dudes with dual tanks removing the passenger side one and using the space for mounting the air tank and compressor. I think I'm gonna do a simple setup with drop spindles, cut coils, and a rear axle flip kit. That way it's slammed for a small amount of money, and I can focus on body work while saving for bags down the road. By just cutting the coils, you can save that money you would spend on drop coils and put it towards a set of bolt on bag brackets and bags for the front. Theres no point in shelling out 80 or 100$ for coils when you want to bag it eventually.
You're one step ahead of me though - your's looks like the body is straight as an arrow. Is this your 1st full size? It is for me, and I'm glad I found this site, cause everyone on here has already been a huge help! |
