what is the original paint colors for a 250 motor

Hello I am still new to building trucks. I have just pulled a 68 chevy c10 out of the weeds. I would like to know what colors the motor was paint.

Advanced auto has engine paint labeled "Chevy engine orange" that is what I use, they also have the later GM blue in both colors.

I was hoping more for what colors came on the motor at the time they were sold by the dealer. Like I don't know block color, valv cover, air breather, tranny if it was painted. I seen the rattle cans at the local autoparts stores but what colors went where orange black blue exc... Thx Dusty_case

On your '68 the complete engine was orange (complete meaning block, head, valve cover, inspection plates, oil pan, and intake), the bell housing is usually orange, the air cleaner, pulleys, fan, motor mounts and engine brackets are black. If you look pretty close at your engine you can tell what color everything came.
