Grendel,
this is cool story and you get your dads truck back. I'm sure it isn't going anywhere now I have a similar situation,my dad bought a 71 shortbed in 92 right before he passed away and I sold it about 5 years ago have regreted it ever since. I hope I get lucky one day and can get it back too.
