Stupid ? about lower grille screws

Does anyone know where/how to get to the lower screws that attach the grille to the core support for an 81 GMC? The chilton book is worthless. It feels like theres 3 or 4 of them that you have to get up under the bumper to reach with a long socket extension. Is this correct?

Yes, you have to get to them from under the bumper. There are 3. Long extension and maybe even a swivel.

Re: Stupid ? about lower grille screws

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out later today.

BTW, is the silver stuff on the grille just some cheesy plating, or is it chrome? Whatever it is, is bubbling and flaking all over the place on the headlight bezels like a mofo, and I figured I'd take off all the pieces and peel off/sandblast off the plating so I can prime and paint it silver.
