Whats best for squeeking bushings?

My truck has developed an annoying squeek when going over a bump. I'm wondering what you all use for lubing the rubber.

It may be a ball joint, or the upper or lower a-arms, have you greased everything?

Re: Whats best for squeeking bushings?

Well, I gave it a good lubing last year. I just figure it's a bushing but not sure. I guess I can have my nephew jump up and down to see if we can replicate it.

Re: Whats best for squeeking bushings?

Any ideas???

I just talked to a friend of mine and he says to use silicone spray. I've used WD40 in other vehicles but I've never know if it's good for rubber or not...

Re: Whats best for squeeking bushings?

You didn't say what year it is but if it's 72 on back it used metal bushings except in the sway bar & shocks. It's probably not getting grease through the bushing on the upper or lower control arm shafts. Put grease gun pressure on each fitting til you see grease coming out between the bushing & shaft.
